Frequently Asked Questions - Sports Photography Services
-
I photograph all competitive sports and athletic events. My regular coverage includes football, basketball, soccer, baseball, softball, volleyball, track and field, cross country, swimming, wrestling, tennis, golf, lacrosse, gymnastics, and more. If your athletes compete in it, I want to be there for it — reach out if your sport isn't listed and we'll make it work.
-
Not at all. While a large part of my work is youth leagues and high school programs across Clark and Cowlitz County, I cover athletes of all ages and skill levels — from recreational youth leagues all the way through adult competitive leagues, college club sports, and regional tournaments. Every athlete deserves great photos.
-
Action sports photography is documentary coverage of athletes competing in their sport — not posed portraits or formal photo days. I arrive before the event begins and stay through the end, capturing the full arc of your athlete's experience: warm-ups and pre-game rituals, all the in-game action, sideline moments with coaches and teammates, and the candid celebrations or emotions after the final whistle. The goal is a complete, authentic story of the day — not just a handful of posed shots.

My primary coverage area is Clark County and Cowlitz County in SW Washington, including Vancouver, Camas, Ridgefield, Battle Ground, Washougal, Woodland, Longview, and Kelso. I also cover events in the greater Portland metro area. For tournaments, invitationals, and larger events outside this area, travel is available — contact me for details and any applicable travel fees.
-
For individual athlete coverage, I recommend booking at least 1–2 weeks in advance to secure your date. For team events and tournaments, 2–4 weeks is ideal, especially during peak sports seasons (fall and spring). That said, if you have a last-minute need, always reach out — I'll do my best to make it work.
-
Absolutely — and it's one of the best investments you can make for your athlete. Season packages are available for individual athletes who want coverage across multiple games throughout the season. Contact me directly to discuss your schedule and I'll put together a custom package with a discounted per-game rate.
-
Weather happens, especially in SW Washington. If an outdoor event is cancelled or postponed due to weather, I'll work with you to reschedule at no additional charge. For indoor events that are cancelled, a 48-hour notice is appreciated. I understand that athletic schedules change — I'll always be flexible.
-
Yes. I shoot in rain, overcast skies, bright sun, gym lighting, and everything in between. I use professional equipment suited for various lighting conditions and outdoor environments. Some of the best sports photos happen on drizzly fall Friday nights under the stadium lights — I'm not going anywhere.

The number of images depends on the coverage package. Individual athlete coverage typically delivers 40–80+ edited images for a standard game or match. Team event coverage delivers 100–200+ images. Tournament and multi-event coverage delivers 150–300+ images. These are all fully edited finals — not raw proofs — so every image in your gallery is ready to download, print, and share.
-
Individual athlete galleries are delivered within 48 hours of the event. Team event galleries are delivered within 48–72 hours. Tournament and large event galleries are delivered within 5 business days. If you need a same-day preview gallery for social media sharing during the event, that's available as an add-on.
-
All images are delivered through a private online gallery that's easy to access from any device — phone, tablet, or computer. From the gallery you can view, download, and share your images. Galleries include high-resolution files for printing and web-optimized versions for social media. Team galleries are organized so every family can easily find their athlete. Galleries stay active for 30 days, with options to extend or order prints directly through the gallery.
-
Yes — every gallery comes with a full personal print release, which means you're free to print the images anywhere you'd like, as many times as you want. You can also order professional prints directly through your online gallery if you'd prefer a hands-off option.
-
Absolutely — and it's one of the most popular ways families use this service. A group of parents can pool together to cover the cost of team event coverage, and each family gets access to the full shared gallery to download images of their athlete. It makes professional coverage very affordable when split across a roster.
-
Yes, and I'd love to. I work with booster clubs, athletic directors, and coaching staffs who want consistent, professional coverage for their program. I can provide ongoing coverage throughout the season, deliver content for social media and program promotion, and create organized galleries that serve both families and the program. Reach out to discuss a partnership for your school or organization.
